Self-Catering at The Dower House
The Dower House is situated in the grounds of historic Burghope Manor, on the edge of the ancient village of Winsley which overlooks the glorious Avon Valley.
The Dower House has a large sitting room which is typical of this light and spacious accommodation. The room has a central fireplace and is furnished in traditional country house style - with comfortable sofas, chairs, occasional tables, widesceen television and video. The elegant dining room leads to a modern and fully equipped kitchen - and there is a downstairs cloakroom with a shower unit ensuite.
Sleeping arrangements for 6 people are found on the first floor, which has three double bedrooms, all with private bathrooms: - One twin bedded room, ensuite with shower and bathtub. One twin bedded room, ensuite with shower. One double bedded room with separate private bathroom with bath and shower.
The front of the house overlooks the manor lawns and to the rear is the patio and garden, walled for complete privacy.

Dining & Pubs
A short walk from the main gates through the old part of the village takes you to 'The Seven Stars' Pub, which boasts a wide choice of food. Many other pubs can be found in the valley, within easy reach, some of the best being The Hop Pole, The Cross Guns and the Inn at Freshford. There are also a number of fine restaurants within easy reach. Roman/Georgian Bath is but 5 miles by road, with picturesque Bradford-on-Avon only miles 1½ away. Winsley is on a bus route, with frequent services to Bath, local towns and villages.

Directions
The main London to South Wales motorway (M4) is a 20 minute drive, the M3/A303 is 40 minutes, the M5 is 60 minutes. Express trains from Bath to London Paddington take little more than an hour. London Heathrow Airport is 90 minutes by car, Gatwick is just over 2 hours. The local Bristol Airport services many European and other destinations. Follow the same Directions as for Burghope.
